| Thursday, May 19, 2005 | | Distance | 10 | This bat is by far the easiest bat to hit long! I used a Mizuno Crush 2 28oz. before using this bat (26 oz.) and this bat is easily 5x easier to hit. The sweet spot is probably twice the size of the Crush 2. Nice smooth swings will get you deep liners to the outfield. Haven't hit a homerun with it yet, although I've only played one game with it and no BP (3 swings - 2 doubles and 1 triple, going 3/3). I am not a homerun hitter by trade, but this bat may just turn me into one yet. The hits that I did get with it were the hardest that I have ever hit!A couple of my teamates used it during the game, and they aren't homerun hitters either...each of them parked it over the short fence in left field.The only issue I have with this bat is that after just one game the grip began to unravel at the butt of the bat. It's one of the best feeling grips that I've felt, just wish it was more durable.The wrap isn't hard to replace, so it won't be that bad, but hopefully the rest of the bat stays in tact.

I have been playing 20+ years and this bat is the hottest bat I have ever used. The sweet spot is huge and the ball jumps off of this bat. I hit a line drives to third in two different games and the third baseman couldn't get his glove up fast enough to glove it. If you can't hit it out with this bat, you probably never will. Get one, you won't be disappointed.

Once you get a few cuts on it then comes the distance and its unreal. I wasn't sure that this bat would be hotter than the orginal freak, and after hitting it. This bat is hotter, and is very close to the ultra 2 in feeling. It has a very forgiving sweetspot. I would recommend picking one up from batsbatsbats.com...... thx. again shane.
