| Wednesday, July 26, 2006 | | Distance | 9.5 | WE play on a co-ed ball team and our playing coach Les let me try this bat out last night.My first hit a hard liner over 3rds head then it was BOMBS AWAY BABY.The final result 5-5 with 4 HOMERS and a double.My last homerun actually went accross into the next field and almost hit the right fielder.By the way the field I was on is 275 down the line with a 6 foot fence.THe fields are separated by a 60-70 foot walkway.The other field has the same dimensions.You can imagine this BLAST WAS A MAMMOTH SHOT.

The bat was pretty hot out of the wrapper, but this bat just got better the more I swung it. The only negative is, my bat already looks like I have played a couple of seasons with it. I'm not a power hitter but after the 1st at bat the outfielders go to the fence. The bat does well in cooler weather also. Reminds me of the U2. 30oz. feels heavier than 30oz. I've ordered a 27oz. for this season.

The sweetspot is toward the taper instead of the endcap so it takes some time to get your contact point right. Distance wise its hanging with my Jeff Hall Mayhem 120. The feel is kind of decieving. You think you missed it but it still leaves the park.

| Friday, September 23, 2005 | | Distance | 10 | IM a big guy about 6 foot 6 and about 320 lbs so I have no shortage of power.I tried this bat out in batting practice last night and was happy with its pop. A buddy of mine let me try it and it was used about 20 games this year . IM a switch hitter so I was crushing them from both sides of the plate.THE fence was 15 feet high and 285 down both lines and 305 straightaway . WELL batting left I cranked one at least 60 feet over in right batting right I hit a moon shot at least 75 feet in left and a liner 10 feet over center. I can put them out with most bats but this bat added about 10 to 15 feet distance to my hits. Next year im going to buy one of these awesome weapons.

BUT after 5 games and some batting practice the handle broke. I also notice the end cap had a gap and was slipping from the end. The paint/coating scratches easily. All this happened in just 5 days.

My buddy and I took it out for some swings and this thing has some POP! My buddy has a well-broken-in Freak. The balls hit with the 585 were all at least 15 ft. and at most 30 ft. further than the ones hit with the Freak. He's also got the Blur and I have the Blur Advanced and neither of those sticks have anything on the Freak or the the 585. We'll see how durable it is with time but, right now I am impressed.

At least as good as the Freak or Freak Plus. Hot out of the wrappper. Fantastic distance and pop. Big sweet spot. Feels great. No vibration whatsoever on contact. On grounders, infielders have no chance. Too early for durability but looks great after 100+ hits. Definitively an outstanding bat. Once well break-in, might be as strong as the Ultra 1, but that remains to be seen.

| Monday, June 13, 2005 | | Distance | 9.5 | Let start off by saying "This isn't the ultra 2 repainted." My maniac started off very stiff but did hit good line drives. I put about 200 hits on it with some .50 core ball and took it to my next game and was very please with how this bat opened up. It was hitting 335 ft. + shoots with this bat. The sweet spot is huge like all mikens and very forgiving if you miss it. The distance is there as well. I was with and surpassing well broken in freaks & freak +'s with this bat, and I have only had it for 2 weeks. The only down falls w/ this bat I can see is. My endcap is already slipping but doesn't come all the way out, and the paint and clearcoat scratch very easy on this bat. Mine is only 2 weeks old but it looks like I have used it for a full season already.
