| Monday, July 7, 2008 | | Distance | 9.5 | I have used this bat for about 1500-2000 swings with no problems. For an ASA bat, distance is really good. I love the end-loaded feel. Hits good out of the wrapper, and much better after a few hundred hits. Right now it is really hot. We have a 2005 Synergy Extended on my team, but more people use this bat. I have played softball for 25 years and used more bats than I can remember, but for now, this is the only one I use. I bought two extra ones to use in the future now that ASA has a stricter 98-mph rule on composite bats.

| Monday, March 17, 2008 | | Distance | 9.5 | I have used nothing but the Miken freak for the past four years, but that is no longer an ASA option so I got a Combat Anti-Virus for $180 on ebay. It took awhile to get used to the endloaded feel, but after about 500 swings I just love this bat. I hit about 150 balls Saturday for BP and some shots went at least 350-360. That is very close to where I have hit them in the past with the Freak. I am not saying it is as good as the Freak, but very close. The sweet spot on the A-V is a little smaller than the Freak but not bad. You barely feel the bat when you really connect. It is a little harder to hit opposite field because of the end load, but for power, this is a great bat. There is a balanced version but I have the E-L version. It kills low pitches. Just drop the head of the bat and it does all the work. Durability seems OK so far after about 500-600 hits.

It seemed I didn't have to swing the bat hard to get it to perform. The anti-virus hits all types of softballs very well. Durability is unknown at this time b/c I only hit the bat a few times in BP. If you like a good endloaded bat, the anti-virus is that bat to get. This bat doesn't need much breaking in. The feel, distance, SS, and pop is pretty close to the Easton Extended and or Flex.
