Distance10Amazing bat with huge pop. Almost to good to be true!! The only down fall is the possibility of your league or sanction banning it & the durability. Either way it is well worth getting & one of my favirote bats ever made!!!

Distance10As far as distance and sweet spot go it doesn't get any better that this. Last year I hit 23 HRs with a 2000 B-52. Triple my previous high simple due to working on increasing my bat speed. After we got shelled a few times by teams with the Ultra I, I decided to get the Ultra II this year. This bat is unbelievable. The ball speed it generates is unsurpassed. It only has 100 or so swings on it so the durability is still a question mark, but last year most of the team used the TPS Genesis and put over 1200 swings on it before it came apart while everyone else was crying about the durability issue. I think it has a lot to do with the balls being used. I wish all reviewers would state the core and compression of the balls hit. That way we all might be able to get a feel of what the real issue is. Bat durability or high compression balls. Last year we used a .47 core, mid-compression ball. This year it's a .44 core, mid-compression ball. The whole team will be using it every AB of every game this year after seeing its capabilities so I will update as the season goes.

Distance10I'm not normally a power hitter, but I can hit some bombs with this bat. Many of the guys on my team are sold on this beast. We're ringing the fence with shots off the handle and screaming line drives everywhere. Now when I get up to the plate, everybody takes a step back because the ball gets there in a hurry! I love this bat, but I wish USSSA would wise up and add it to their list.

Distance10All I can say is three swings three pitches three Home Runs. Three very long homes runs hit well beyond the 300ft fence. I have been loyal to Easton for about 20 years and hve hit plenty of bombs with them but this bat really does change everything.

Distance10This bat has changed the face of the game. The pop and feel is absolutely incredible. The biggest complaint is the durability. Well, this bat will last if only you swing it. I am 6'1" 198lbs and can hit it out with an ordinary bat but this bat is going 325-350 with ease. I have put 100+ swings on mine and is still going. I think the problem is, that "big" guys hit and destroy this bat. They are the ones with the durability problem. A nice smooth swing will keep this bat alive and deliver monster shots.

Distance10200 swings and it broke in half. great bat, adds at least 30ft to every swing.its just not durable. im afraid to use the replacement bat. if money is not a problem spend it, it will turn the average player into a missle hitting monster.

Distance10WOW on the performance & Sweet Spot. As for the durability 5 is as low as they go, or they would get worse. Bottom line is that I had the bat last monday played two league games and then had two hits on that thursday and it had a crack around the taper. I am waiting to see what they really do with this return, 15-20 swings tops.

Distance10I agree with the other reviews on distance and sweet spot. Im not a big hitter,5'8" 175, 300footers sometimes. Added at least 30 to 40ft to every swing. Durability is a major problem, after breaking in the bat I only got about 60 swings in and it almost broke in half. Almost scared to use the replacement since you only get one. When miken gets the durability down, it will be the best bat on the market.

Distance10This bat rocks! I've never hit balls as far as I did with my Ultra II. Long bombs. I think I'm a good hitter to start with, but when people are picking up the bat after you nail a long homerun and saying what was that, it's worth the money. I am scared about the cracking after reading about other bats. But my 28 is still good. It feels like a 26 or 27 but that's ok.

Distance10The best thing about this bat is the way it swings. It is very confortable and never any vibrations. Even if it did not have the pop I use if for the confort. Two more points, it swings light, I usally swing a 28, I got the 27 and it swings like a 26. I just bought another one a 28oz. Second, I was the first one on my team to get it. I did not know anything about it because I got it with the ultra I trade in. I was not impressed with my first 10 swings out of the bag. I didn't thing much of it and told everyone on the team to try it. After about 50-60 swings the bat came alive and more than half the team either bought their own or uses mine. The durability of my bat has been great! I gave it an 8.5 because I had a team member that had his crack right away.

No dents or breakage and I have used down to 50 degrees. You've probably heard it before but this bat delivers dangerous shots through the infield!

Distance10I gave this a 5 for durability because that's the lowest # on the scale, otherwise it would have been a 1. I have broken 4 of these (at 65 degrees or higher, live in south Texas) in three months, none of the 4 lasted more than 125 swings. However, if money is no object this is a missle producing MONSTER. I'm giving up on it though, it's too expensive to buy one of these every month. BTW, it's not like I'm a big guy (5'11" 195lbs) but until it breaks it turns 300 foot shots into 350+ BOMBS.

Distance10The Miken bat is great for distance and the sweet spot. It is a tremendous disappointment for durability. In the last three weeks playing in 50+ tournaments in Southwest Florida, I've seen five Miken bats crack in temperatures rangeing from 50 to 75 degrees. It is particularly upsetting when bats are only one or two months old and only one replacemrnt is allowed during the one year warrenty.

I heve always been able to hit the ball over the fence, but with the UltraII I've been hitting the balls into the parking lot and hitting cars. So I'll give this bat awesome reviews on its distance and sweet spot. The durability is questionable. I have only had my bat for 5 weeks and its still holding up. Some of the guys that I play with have had theirs about 3weeks longer than me and theirs have already broken. They are small guys too. Distance10wow,this bat is hot..I hear of problems with durability, but that because you dont break it in right.I use mine in bp before I ever took it out at a tornament(has over 500 swings on it now) and not a crack to be found. Line drives are like lazer beams through the infield,I'm not a hr hitter but have hit several in the 325 range...huge sweet spot its a must have for any serious softball players

Distance10This might sound wierd but I just hit the longest ball ever with the Ultra II. Here's the wierd part, I used the Original Ultra the first time and I never made it over the fence, so I picked up the Ultra II and after 5 tries it went out. I mean, it carried and carried and than I just knew that it was gone. Most of the time (when using other bats) it carries but it will start coming down after a while but with the ultra II it seemed like it was never gonna come down ever. I don't know about durability but so far it's still good. The only thing is that it sounds like there's rubbles or something in the barrel. I had to break it in too, took it to the park and hit an old tire about 50-60 times rotating on every swing. Don't hit too hard...just enough power. I think when you start hearing the sounds of rubbles and/or sand in the barrel than its ready.

Distance10You NEED to properly break it in. Tape it up and take at least 200 balls at the cages, the last fifty rip em. It's definitely all good, but it sucks because every league has outlawed this bat that I play in. Personally, it's a cheap bat, I hit well with my old black Connexion, just a shame that lame pop up hitters are putting balls out with this bat. Distance10Hit about 40 balls with this bat yesterday. (Bad Back or I'd have hit more) The field was 320' I hit 8 balls over. 3 of which were at least 40 feet over. Line drives were hitting or short hopping the fence. I've hit on this field two other times with other bats and only cleared the fence once. Big difference. I felt that any ball I got in the air would go.

Distance10I am not a long ball hitter. I am a line drive hitter. The bat is phenominal in the way the ball comes off. I have never seen such explosiveness off the bat. However, the bat is like the Genesis in that it does NOT hold up for very long. I have had my bat for 2 1/2 months. Maybe 500 hits in it. It broke last night in 60 degree weather. Not very impressive for a $340 bat.

Distance10This bat adds a good 10 to 20ft on the old velocity on a test I performed by averaging the distances on fifty balls hit with each bat on two different trees. The sweet spot is bigger and it just jumps off of the bat. I am 28 years old and hit 350 ft. homeruns with the ultra II and I just seen a 50 year old who was hitting the ball about 275ft just hit a ball over a 300ft fence. Advice? Distance10Im sorry to say that i just sent in my review on 10/12/02 and now here on 10/15/02 im sending in another one because my bat broke completely in half, i had a Mizuno for about 4 months and did the same thing, these composite bats are unreal as far as the pop they give you, but as far as durability they are junk, i hope that Miken has just as good as a return policy as Mizuno did, i sent my Techfire in and two weeks later i had a new one, now im swingin a different Mizuno only because my Miken broke in half after only about 100 swings, and like they say dont let anyone else swing your bat, my brother and i split the cost on this one and broke it a week later. Distance10I bought my Ultra 3 weeks ago this past Monday, and I broke it in half on Monday. I do play quite a bit of league, 3 days a week all double headers, and I had about 175-200 swings on it, and it split nearly in two the other night. Now, as far as performance, NO bat compares with distance or unreal pop. In my personal opinion, the price should be much lower, for the simple fact is, the bat seems to only last about a month or so. This bat will make the average league player into the league's version of Barry Bonds.

Distance10I purchased my Ultra II and it was waiting for me at my hotel in Las Cruces N.M. site of the ASA C western Nationals. I found this bat to have great distance and a very large sweet spot. I thought this bat was the best ever until midway through our third game when I noticed a small crack half way up the bat. I used it on my next at bat and it looked like if I used it one more time it would break in half. The bat had at most 30 to 40 swings in it. Including 10 to 15 at B.P. I"m waiting to see how Miken handles this return. Hopefully well because until it broke I thought this bat was the greatest ever.

I don't have a homerun trot, because this has been a no doubter bat. I hit it, turn around and walk into the dugout. No lie, ULTRA 2 is better than any stick I have swung. I recommend it to anyone, and no park can hold the power of this bat, including Yellowstone. Distance10Me and 3 of my team mates now have this stick as we all had the original. Across the board we all agree that the new one has equal pop off the barrel however the swing is less effeciant due the new weighting system. We all disagree that they feel lighter than the original however they do swing differently especially the max load it's more like your swinging the handle through the zone and the bat realizes less whip at the head. Speaking with other owner's and in my own realization it seem's as if the bat's are a little less consistent from bat to bat as far as performance goes. This is probably due to the fact that they have had to crank these puppies out at break neck pace. This is still an awesome product and the best bat out there for both pop and sweet spot. Durability remains to be seen...
