| | Saturday, August 30, 2003 | | Distance | 9 | My kid really liked this bat. I'm not sure the distance is greater, but it does have a larger sweet spot. (You can find the sweet spot by bouncing a ball on the bat barrel. It sounds livelier and bounces higher on the sweet spot.) The bat has a distinctive "whack" sound like a wood bat rather than the aluminum ring. By the end of the season, 3 of the top 5 kids in the batting order were using this bat.

| | Thursday, June 19, 2003 | | Distance | 8 | I purchased the double x for my 11 yr old son lokking to increase distance and velocity. I have been disappointed thus far with the bat.Lots of foul balls and balls dying at impact. Switched to air genx1 he got his power and velocity up almost instantly. concidence I think not.

| | | Distance | 8 | Another "you have to be patient" bat. Purchased it for my son back in Sept. 2002 because it was advertised like it was a "lunar launchpad" when you hit the ball. My son is slightly undersized and underweight for his age and initially this bat trashed his average. Everything he hit seemed to "die" coming off the bat. Instead of increased distance, it was like he was hitting pitches with a wet sponge. Mfg. claimed the bat design made it give poorer performance with more uses and even gives info on their website NOT to use this bat for batting cage practice. However, after running the bat through the cage a few times at 60 mph on regulation hard balls, the bat suddenly began to rip stuff all over the place. It took hitting about 300 balls over about a 90 day period to get the bat to start clicking the way it was advertised. Probably wouldn't have gotten to that if I listened to the mfg. It turned out to be a little late as we basically bagged the thing and bought my son another Omaha, the new XS. He's been tearing up the AAU practice field with it and has to keep his teammates away from it.
